Today, May 19, 2023, at the headquarters of the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, on the eve of the 75th anniversary of this prestigious organization and the 76th session of the World Health Assembly, was held a meeting between the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Abdullozoda Jamoliddin with Secretary General of the World Health Organization Mr. Tedros Adhan Ghebreyesus.
It should be said that in the entire history of 31 years of independence of Tajikistan, this is the first meeting of the leadership of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan with the head of this prestigious organization.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on bilateral cooperation.
At the same time, during the meeting in a solemn atmosphere, the WHO Secretary-General presented the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan with a certificate “Country free from malaria” for achieving elimination of malaria in Tajikistan.
