Meeting on the Results of the Oversight Commission Activities

On December 25, 2023 working meeting of the results of the Oversight Commission in 2023 conducted in the conference hall of the Rumi Hotel, chaired by A.A.Amirzoda, Deputy Minister, Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chairman of the Oversight Commission under the National Coordination Committee to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in the Republic of Tajikistan.

Directors of the republican and district centers for the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS and Republican and district tuberculosis control centers of cities and regions of republican subordination, employees of the Secretariat of the National Coordination Committee and other invited persons have participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, members of the Oversight Commission presented the results of their oversight for the national programs for the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis control as well as Global Fund grants implemented by the centers for the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis in cities and regions of republican subordination and proposed recommendations to address identified gaps and issues in the areas of financial, governance and program management.

A.A. Amirzoda, chairman of the Oversight Commission emphasized the strengthening of the activities of the Commission to oversee the implementation of not only Global Fund grants, but also to oversee the implementation of national programs for the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis.

The new composition of the Oversight Commission commenced activities in the second half of 2023.
