Today, at the Sirena Hotel in Dushanbe, was held a debriefing with the WHO mission to present the preliminary findings and recommendations of the mid-term evaluation of the National Program to Combat the HIV/AIDS Epidemic in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period 2021-2025.
The meeting was attended by members of the National Coordinating Committee to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in the Republic of Tajikistan, representatives of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, other ministries and government agencies, UN organizations working in the field of HIV in Tajikistan, including missions WHO, international and non-governmental organizations.
During the meeting, the preliminary conclusions and recommendations of the WHO mission consisting of 9 experts, which, from January 23 to 27, 2023, conducted a mid-term review of the National Program to Combat the HIV/AIDS Epidemic in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period 2021-2025, were presented and discussed, as a result of which preliminary recommendations were presented to improve the implementation of the National Program to Combat the HIV/AIDS Epidemic in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period 2021-2025.
It was also noted that the WHO mission will continue to work in this direction and present the final version of the report on the results of the midterm review in the near future.
