Today, 2022 UNAIDS Global Update under the theme “The Path That Ends AIDS” was presented in the multisectoral meeting conducted in Dushanbe. The event was held with the participation of representatives of government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the UN agencies, civil society organizations, as well as international and national partners. The update explored strategies that have been proven to work and can be followed to achieve better results in HIV/AIDS prevention.
The report cites that the AIDS response will succeed if it is supported by strong political commitment, embodied in secure and adequate funding, data and evidence based actions, reducing inequalities and discrimination, and recognizing the importance of community-led interventions.
