Meeting of the leadership of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan with the representatives of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria

Today, June 23, 2023, the First Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Muhsinzoda Gafur Muhsin, met with the representatives of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria at the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan.

This meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Amirzoda A., other employees of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Secretariat of the National Coordinating Committee to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Global Fund delegation at the meeting was represented by Mr. Dawran Faizan, Fund Portfolio Manager for Tajikistan portfolio,  Mr. Shepherd Mufudzi Machekera, Specialist, Public Health and M&E,  Ms. Ganna Bolokhovets, Specialist on Health Product Management, Ms.Natalia Manic, Specialist, Sustainability, Transition, Co- Financing, Moldovan nationality and  Ms. Aigul Murat kyzy, Programme Officer.

At the meeting was discussed issues related to the implementation of the current Global Fund grant in Tajikistan in the field of HIV and Tuberculosis, as well as the implementation of the new Global Fund grant in the field of HIV and Tuberculosis for 2024-2024-2026, including the provision of co-financing for the implementation of the grant, increasing the level of detection of tuberculosis, the establishment of a Project Implementation Unit under the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan and other related issues.
