Working meeting held regarding the Global Fund application for the 2027–2029 period

On September 22, 2026, a working meeting took place at the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan (MHSPP RT) regarding the application to the Global Fund for the GC8 (2027–2029) and future collaboration with civil society organizations.

Participants included representatives from the MHSPP RT, UNDP, the Republican Center for Prevention and Control of AIDS and Parenteral Hepatitis, the narcology service, NGOs, and community representatives.

The meeting aimed to foster open dialogue, enhance the transparency of the application preparation process, and strengthen civil society participation in the implementation of programs addressing HIV and tuberculosis, as well as support for key populations.

The event featured updates on the current status of the application and the grant-making process, a review of comments from the Global Fund’s Technical Review Panel and the country team’s responses, presentation on civil society priorities and the extent to which they are reflected in the application, and an explanation of the mechanism for future collaboration between the Principal Recipient and civil society organizations.
