A joint meeting of the Secretariat of the National Coordination Committee to Combat AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in the Republic of Tajikistan and the Coordination Council to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in the Sughd Region was held
04.11.2025A mission from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria visited the Republic of Tajikistan from September 17 to 19, 2025.
The Global Fund delegation was represented by Dr. Dumitru Laticevschi, Regional Manager; Mr. Davran Faizan, Fund Portfolio Manager and Olga Avdeeva, Fund Portfolio Manager (assumes this position effective January 1, 2026).
During the visit, representatives of the Global Fund held meetings with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan – Chairperson of the National Coordination Committee to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in the Republic of Tajikistan, Ms. Dilrabo Mansuri, the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Abdullozoda Jamoliddin, employees of other structural divisions of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan and representatives of non-governmental organizations.
During the meeting, issues related to the implementation of the Global Fund grant for the prevention and fight of HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2024-2026 were discussed. Global Fund representatives expressed satisfaction with the bilateral cooperation between the Global Fund and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and their interest in expanding collaboration in this area.
